Ray Ceresa passed away on the 10th of June. He was a great philatelist, author of the Handbooks about Transcaucasia, Ukraine, Russia and the regions of civil war 1917-23. I had the opportunity to met him and still remember this day vividly. I learned a lot with the help of his books and papers. He also commented a lot on this blog.<\/p>\n

I will remember him always as a fellow collector, researcher and friend. He truly was one of the greatest in the area of Armenian philately.<\/p>\n
